Carrie of The Walking Spondies writes about raising awareness in Taipei, Taiwan.
“On May 15, 2015, two members from The Walking Spondies participated in the LOVE Run in Taipei, Taiwan to help raise awareness for Ankylosing Spondylitis and associated diseases. Together, they logged over 30,000 steps during their race for our team.”
Adrienne from team Endurance for AS on her and the teams progress so far.
“Racking up steps lately by dragging out another Team Endurance member at the crack of dawn for a few 50 mile rides! Joints are still all swollen but 2 PTs and an orthopod have concluded it won’t make them worse…gotta keep moving one day at a time.”
Two members of the Orange Apples took on the 80km Crusader Castles Mountain Ultra in Northern Cyprus on Saturday. NASS Chair Raj Mahapatra and Gerry Dance ran the course through the mountains to help raise awareness of AS by speaking at the event, as well as raising funds for the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society.
