My name is Kelly Warner. I am deaf and 43 years old , married to a wonderful husband of 14 years, who is also deaf. Just months before my marriage, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Sabrina’s Daily Dose: Hiking and Pilates/Yoga —When I walk I stick to natural trails. They are easier on my feet and back. I invested in solid waterproof (Reynaud’s) hiking shoes that have foam lining to add comfort. I only carry my phone in one pocket and mace in the other. I keep it light and make sure my clothing flows easily. Then I’m off! I don’t carry water because it hurts my back, shoulders and arms after just a short while. Sabrina’s Daily Dose: Exercise I hear many Spondylitis patients say all the things they can’t do regarding exercise. Now I’m not going to dispute that there are days exercise is physically not possible but I will dispute that we can’t do it at all. I know fully fused Spondys that Move Their AS still.
